Recovering Life:

A faith-based recovery program using biblical principles and community support to help the wounded work through their troubling past, change their present, and prepare for an abundant future full of hope and new life.

Time heals all hurts, right?

Not so, some people are still carrying around hurts from 10, 20, even 30 years ago! But, it's in facing our hurts that the healing begins.

Recovering LIFE can help you face your hurts, understand them, and give them over to the Lord; setting you free to walk in peace with your true higher power... Jesus Christ!

How do we face our pain? Like Jesus did…

  • H ead on! We don’t deny the pain; we face it head-on.
  • U nderstand the truths about your pain.
  • R ecognize the enemy's goal is to steal your freedom, kill your body and destroy your life.
  • T rust God to help you become willing to forgive the offender, just as God has forgiven you.

This bible-based program will help you learn ABC’s of Recovering your life through the grace and unconditional love of our higher power, Jesus Christ.

There is no sin greater than God's grace. So, let us throw off all our sinful responses to the hurts of the past that so easily entangle and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

We place a special emphasis on providing competent and compassionate addiction recovery services where those transitioning out of incarceration, work release, house-arrest and/or homelessness can experience strong community bonding while learning the biblical principles and successful life skills needed to truly recover their life.

When I first came to the transitional house I am currently living in it didn’t take me long to relapse. I was in addiction bad! I was angry and miserable all the time…I never seemed to have a happy moment. I wanted to change but I just couldn’t do it on my own. The second time I relapsed, I was put on mandatory weekly counseling with Bobbi. Between counseling with her on Tuesday afternoons, attending bible study with her on Wednesday evenings and attending CR and Recovering LIFE for Ladies with her on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, I have learned that I can’t do this on my own and that I have to put it into God’s Hands. Since I gave my life and my addiction to God, I have not relapsed. I’m no longer angry, miserable, and stressed… now when things aren’t going very well for me, I lay my head down at night with peace knowing that God is in control and he is working all of this out to my good. I’m thankful to God for this new peace and I intend to continue to walk in it. It is such a blessing!”

“…my life was full of chaos, due to alcohol and my own selfish ways.  Bitterness from some trials of life had set in so deep that I blamed God and everyone else.  Instead of trying to change myself or ask for help and guidance, I just self-destructed in everything and in every way. As a result, I ended up in the hospital for 10 days with my body shutting down. I have no recollection of the first 4 days, but for the last 6 days all I remember doing is praying and asking God to please help me find my way back to Him, His Word and the peace of mind I had years prior. Shortly after this I began attending Recovering Life where I met Bobbi H. who touched something in me that opened a whole new way of spiritual guidance and teaching of God’s Word, His will and his unconditional love for me.
